Brazilian Butt Lift. Natural curves, safety first.

Overview: A BBL uses liposuction to harvest fat from areas such as the abdomen, waist, or thighs, then transfers a portion of that fat to the buttocks to add shape and projection. Because it is a higher-risk procedure, careful technique and strict safety standards matter, for example that fat is placed only in the layer above the gluteal muscle, in line with current surgical society safety guidance.
Who it’s for: Patients in good general health with enough available fat to harvest, who are at a stable weight and have realistic expectations. A thorough evaluation determines whether it is a safe option for you.
What to expect:
- Procedure: Fat is harvested, processed, and carefully transferred. Both the donor areas and the buttocks are contoured.
- Recovery: Expect swelling and soreness. You will need to avoid sitting or lying directly on the buttocks for a period of weeks, and a compression garment is worn. Many patients plan about two weeks before returning to desk work, and longer before strenuous activity. Dr. Lawal will give you specific instructions.
- Results: Some transferred fat does not survive, so results are planned with that in mind and settle over several months. Weight changes can affect your results.
FAQ:
- Is BBL safe? All surgery carries risk, and BBL has specific risks that Dr. Lawal will review in detail with you before you decide.
- Can I have a BBL with other procedures? Sometimes. Whether combining is safe is decided at your consultation.
