Breast Reduction.

Comfort, balance, and confidence.

Overview: Breast reduction removes excess breast tissue, fat, and skin to create a smaller, lighter, better-proportioned shape. For many patients it also relieves the physical strain of large breasts.

Who it's for: Patients with neck, shoulder, or back pain, bra-strap grooving, skin irritation, or difficulty exercising because of breast size, who are in good general health.

What to expect:

  • Procedure: The incision pattern depends on how much tissue is removed and is discussed at your consultation. The nipple and areola are repositioned, usually keeping them attached to their blood supply.
  • Recovery: Plan on about one to two weeks away from desk work and about four to six weeks without heavy lifting or strenuous exercise. A surgical bra is worn during healing.
  • Results: Shape settles over several months. Scars fade over time but are permanent.
